This poster by Lotza celebrates one of the major historical symbols of the city of Saintes: the Arch of Germanicus. Erected at the beginning of the 1st century AD, this emblematic monument of Roman architecture was dedicated to Emperor Tiberius and his family, as a testament to the loyalty of the region's inhabitants to Rome. Located on the peaceful banks of the Charente, in the heart of the city's historic center, it still offers a remarkable view of the river and its quays today.

The town of Saintes, located in Charente-Maritime, is an ancient Gallo-Roman center founded under the name ofMediolanum SantonumSince Antiquity, it has established itself as a strategic crossroads, between a commercial route and a religious center, as its numerous Roman remains still testify today, notably its amphitheater, its aqueduct and its thermal baths.

Hi, I'm Lotza.

The illustrator

Hi, I'm Lisa and I illustrate all the posters you can find in this online store.

I draw the posters on Illustrator using a pen, a vector drawing tool.
My illustrations are not transformed photos, called "vectorized" in the jargon. I choose my destinations myself; I am currently working on my Tour de France.

To create an illustration, I often use photos from my travels or royalty-free photos for commercial use in order to remain faithful to reality and I take the liberty of modifying the design and layout.

I also base my work on my drawings, which I scan and redraw on Illustrator; this is especially the case for my portraits of women.
