Description

Illustrator Lotza 's poster depicts New York City 's iconic Brooklyn Bridge . This steel suspension bridge, which connects the boroughs of Brooklyn and Manhattan over the East River, is one of New York City's most famous symbols.

Built in 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was the longest and tallest suspension bridge ever built. It was designed by German engineer John Augustus Roebling and completed by his son Washington Roebling after his father's death. The bridge is nearly 2 km long, and its main tower is 276 feet high.

The Brooklyn Bridge played an important role in the development of New York City and has been used for transporting goods and passengers for over a century. Today, it is mainly used for transporting cars, bicycles, and pedestrians.

New York is a city known for its dynamism and cultural diversity. It is considered one of the most influential cities in the world in terms of commerce, culture, education, and tourism. Famous attractions in the city include the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park, and of course, the Brooklyn Bridge. While we're in the United States, let's visit Chicago and Seattle.

This poster by Lotza celebrates one of New York's most iconic landmarks: the majestic Brooklyn Bridge. With its clean graphic style and carefully chosen colors, the illustration pays artistic homage to this feat of engineering and the incomparable energy of the city that never sleeps.

The Brooklyn Bridge, completed in 1883, is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. At the time of its construction, it was the longest ever built, measuring nearly two kilometers. It was conceived by the visionary engineer John Augustus Roebling. Following a fatal accident before construction began, his son Washington Roebling took over the project, overseeing construction from his bed after contracting decompression sickness. Despite the immense challenges, the bridge was successfully completed and became a symbol of determination, innovation, and modernity.

Built of steel and granite, the bridge connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn across the East River. Its neo-Gothic arches, spectacular cables, and elevated pedestrian walkway offer impressive views of the New York City skyline. Today, it remains an iconic landmark for New Yorkers and visitors from around the world, attracting joggers, tourists, photographers, and artists.

Lotza's poster captures the structure's timeless elegance while evoking the power of New York City—a global city, a crossroads of culture, art, and innovation. In the background, we sense the urban energy of Manhattan, contrasting with the bridge's architectural stability.

New York fascinates with its cultural richness, legendary skyscrapers, prestigious museums, and neighborhoods with diverse atmospheres. From Central Park to Times Square, via Harlem, Chinatown, and Greenwich Village, every street corner tells a story. This Brooklyn Bridge poster evokes it all—a distillation of the American dream, architectural audacity, and living history.

And if you're a fan of big American cities, why not continue your journey to Chicago, with its modernist skyscrapers on the shores of Lake Michigan, or Seattle, a high-tech city surrounded by nature, which offers a fascinating blend of innovation and authenticity? A great opportunity to expand your collection with other works by Lotza inspired by the world's most beautiful cities.

Hi, I'm Lotza.

The illustrator

Hi, I'm Lisa and I illustrate all the posters you can find in this online store.

I draw the posters on Illustrator using a pen, a vector drawing tool.
My illustrations are not transformed photos, called "vectorized" in the jargon. I choose my destinations myself; I am currently working on my Tour de France.

To create an illustration, I often use photos from my travels or royalty-free photos for commercial use in order to remain faithful to reality and I take the liberty of modifying the design and layout.

I also base my work on my drawings, which I scan and redraw on Illustrator; this is especially the case for my portraits of women.
