Description

This poster pays tribute to one of the most universal and timeless rituals: tea. A drink of sharing, serenity, and travel, tea has crossed centuries and continents, carrying with it traditions and expertise from around the world. Originating in China over 5,000 years ago, legend has it that tea was discovered by Emperor Shen Nong when a wild tea leaf fell into his bowl of hot water. Since then, its fragrance and virtues have conquered Asia, before spreading to Europe in the 17th century, becoming a symbol of refinement and conviviality.

Through this creation, Lotza illustrates that moment of pause we allow ourselves over a steaming cup of tea. The composition evokes the calm, warmth, and simplicity of this everyday moment, which everyone adapts in their own way—Japanese green tea, Assam black tea, herbal tea with flowers or honey... Behind each sip lies a story of culture and travel, of sea routes and traditions passed down through the generations.

This poster is an ode to the sweetness of everyday life and the art of taking time. Tea, much more than just a drink, connects people and soothes the spirit. With this work, Lotza celebrates a world heritage, a simple gesture that has become a symbol of harmony, sharing, and balance.

This poster celebrates the art of tea, a thousand-year-old beverage that has become a symbol of relaxation, sharing, and travel. Originating in China several millennia ago, the tradition of tea has been passed down from generation to generation, spreading across Asia before conquering Europe and the rest of the world. Each culture has reinvented it in its own way: Japanese ceremonies, British afternoon tea, or simply a welcome break in the day. Behind each cup lies a story, a skill, and a quest for serenity. Through this creation, Lotza pays tribute to this universal art of living. The scene evokes the suspended moment of a tea break, that instant when time slows down and thoughts calm. The soft tones and refined composition are reminiscent of the steam rising from a hot cup and the tranquility of quiet mornings. With its simplicity and elegance, this decorative poster fits equally well in a kitchen, living room, or relaxation area, bringing a touch of warmth and softness to everyday life. Tea is not just a drink, it is a link between cultures and generations. With this illustration, Lotza invites you to rediscover this ancient ritual, savor the present moment, and treat yourself to a moment of calm amid the hustle and bustle of the modern world. A poster that combines heritage, aesthetics, and well-being, designed for those who love simple elegance and life's little pleasures.

Hi, I'm Lotza.

The illustrator

Hi, I'm Lisa and I illustrate all the posters you can find in this online store.

I draw the posters on Illustrator using a pen, a vector drawing tool.
My illustrations are not transformed photos, called "vectorized" in the jargon. I choose my destinations myself; I am currently working on my Tour de France.

To create an illustration, I often use photos from my travels or royalty-free photos for commercial use in order to remain faithful to reality and I take the liberty of modifying the design and layout.

I also base my work on my drawings, which I scan and redraw on Illustrator; this is especially the case for my portraits of women.
