Havana Poster – A vibrant illustration of the Cuban soul

This exclusive illustration by Lotza captures the captivating essence of Havana, Cuba's iconic capital. With its colorful facades, vintage American cars, colonial architecture, and inimitable musical atmosphere, Havana is a city where the charm of the past blends with the excitement of the present. This decorative poster, a true visual tribute to Cuban culture, is perfect for bringing a warm, tropical, and retro atmosphere to your home.

Havana: between colonial history, iconic architecture and modernity frozen in time

Founded in the 16th century by Spanish colonists, Havana is distinguished by its rich historical heritage. Its historic center, La Habana Vieja, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is full of buildings featuring colonial, baroque, neoclassical, and Art Deco architecture. In this illustration, the famous Capitol of Havana is visible at the end of the street, a majestic building constructed in 1929 and often compared to the Capitol in Washington, D.C. Its imposing white dome, columns, and ornate interior make it a powerful symbol of Cuba's political past.

Havana's cobblestone streets reveal a unique charm: pastel buildings with flower-filled balconies, revolutionary murals, and an atmosphere suspended between yesterday and today. Every detail of this poster recalls the city's architectural richness and cultural singularity.

Vintage American Cars: Icons of Cuban Daily Life

It's impossible to talk about Havana without mentioning its vintage cars from the 1950s. Chevrolets, Buicks, Cadillacs, and other American models still roam Havana's avenues today. Carefully restored, these vintage cars are an integral part of the urban landscape and Cuban cultural heritage. In this illustration, the presence of a classic car reinforces this immersion in a retro and authentic world. It's a nod to the creativity and resilience of the Cuban people, who have passionately preserved and maintained this part of the past.

A city filled with music, dance and the Creole soul

Home to salsa, son cubano, bolero, and cha-cha-cha, Havana is a city where music is omnipresent. In the streets, bars, patios, and public squares, musicians and dancers entertain passersby to the rhythm of percussion and brass instruments. Afro-Cuban culture, deeply rooted in the island's identity, is expressed in music, dance, cuisine, and oral traditions.

This poster conveys the festive energy, the warm spirit and the unique friendliness that make Havana a city so beloved by travelers from all over the world.

A decorative poster ideal for a tropical, vintage and cultural atmosphere

Whether you're a travel enthusiast, a Cuba lover, a retro style fan, or simply looking for a colorful and exotic decor, this Havana poster is for you. It will fit perfectly into a living room, office, kitchen, or any tropical-inspired space. Its illustrated design, both artistic and narrative, evokes the vibrant colors, warm light, and easygoing lifestyle of the Caribbean island.

Hi, I'm Lotza.

The illustrator

Hi, I'm Lisa and I illustrate all the posters you can find in this online store.

I draw the posters on Illustrator using a pen, a vector drawing tool.
My illustrations are not transformed photos, called "vectorized" in the jargon. I choose my destinations myself; I am currently working on my Tour de France.

To create an illustration, I often use photos from my travels or royalty-free photos for commercial use in order to remain faithful to reality and I take the liberty of modifying the design and layout.

I also base my work on my drawings, which I scan and redraw on Illustrator; this is especially the case for my portraits of women.
