This poster pays vibrant tribute to the Gers region, located in southwest France, a destination renowned for its exceptional natural beauty, refined gastronomy, and rich cultural heritage. The Gers, in the heart of the Occitanie region, is a land of rural traditions and picturesque landscapes, known for its vast fields of vibrant sunflowers, rolling green hills, as well as its charming medieval villages and numerous historic castles that dot its territory.

The Gers is also a mecca of French gastronomy, showcasing renowned local specialties such as artisanal foie gras, savory duck confit, and quality wines from the Madiran and Saint-Mont appellations. The Gers' traditional markets offer an abundance of fresh, local produce: seasonal fruits and vegetables, artisanal cheeses, fine charcuterie, and not to mention the region's famous spirits.

Among these, Armagnac occupies a central place in the history and culture of Gers. Produced since the Middle Ages, Armagnac is a wine brandy with complex and authentic flavors. The town of Condom, often referred to as the capital of Armagnac, is still home to traditional distilleries that perpetuate this ancestral know-how passed down from generation to generation.

The cultural heritage of the Gers is equally remarkable. Historic towns such as Lectoure, Auch—the prefecture—and Fleurance have preserved their original medieval architecture, with cobbled streets, ramparts, and listed monuments. Romanesque churches and cathedrals also bear witness to the spiritual and artistic richness of the region. Furthermore, the Gers hosts renowned cultural events every year, such as the famous Jazz in Marciac Festival, which attracts visitors from around the world and showcases the region on the international stage.

This artistic poster by Lotza captures the essence and diversity of the Gers region, offering a warm and welcoming look at this authentic and welcoming region. Whether decorating a living room, bedroom, or workspace, this graphic work will bring a touch of elegance and character to your interior, while celebrating the history, nature, and culture of one of France's most beautiful rural regions.

By choosing this poster, you are also supporting the promotion of the cultural and gastronomic heritage of Gers, a region to discover or rediscover, where tradition and modernity combine to offer a unique art of living.

Hi, I'm Lotza.

The illustrator

Hi, I'm Lisa and I illustrate all the posters you can find in this online store.

I draw the posters on Illustrator using a pen, a vector drawing tool.
My illustrations are not transformed photos, called "vectorized" in the jargon. I choose my destinations myself; I am currently working on my Tour de France.

To create an illustration, I often use photos from my travels or royalty-free photos for commercial use in order to remain faithful to reality and I take the liberty of modifying the design and layout.

I also base my work on my drawings, which I scan and redraw on Illustrator; this is especially the case for my portraits of women.
