Description

The Dordogne is a region located in southwest France, known for its spectacular landscapes, medieval villages, prehistoric caves, and numerous castles. The region is particularly rich in historical heritage, with over 1,000 castles dating from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period. Dordogne castles are often located on hills or cliffs overlooking the surrounding rivers and valleys, offering spectacular views of the countryside. Many of these castles are now protected historic monuments and popular tourist sites, offering visitors a unique opportunity to discover the history and architecture of this region. One of the most famous castles in the Dordogne is the Château de Castelnaud, which dates back to the Middle Ages and is known for its defensive architecture and remarkable collections of arms and armor. The Château de Beynac is also a popular attraction, located on a cliff overlooking the Dordogne River and offering spectacular views of the surrounding region.

In addition to their historical interest, the Dordogne castles also offer activities for all ages, such as guided tours, children's activities, juggling and knightly shows, as well as festivals and celebrations throughout the year. The region is also known for its local gastronomic products, such as foie gras, Bergerac wine, and duck confit, making it an ideal destination for food lovers.

Hi, I'm Lotza!

The illustrator

Hi, I'm Lisa and I illustrate all the posters you can find in this online store.

I draw the posters on Illustrator using a pen, a vector drawing tool.
My illustrations are not transformed photos, called "vectorized" in the jargon. I choose my destinations myself; I am currently working on my Tour de France.

To create an illustration, I often use photos from my travels or royalty-free photos for commercial use in order to remain faithful to reality and I take the liberty of modifying the design and layout.

I also base my work on my drawings, which I scan and redraw on Illustrator; this is especially the case for my portraits of women.
